Education Technology Indicators Assessment Survey
Successful deployment, use and integration of ICT in schools are a consequence of interplay of several interrelated factors beyond just the technology itself. The Educational Technology Indicators Assessment Survey monitors several key indicators nation-wide or within specific institutions.
The survey covers the following areas:
- Timetabling
- Student Access and Response to ICT - including assistive technologies
- Teacher Access and Response to ICT – including professional development
- Resource Development and Management
- Technical Support and Maintenance
- Security
- Environmental and Health Considerations
- ICT Costs – Fixed and Recurring
- Outreach and Collaboration
The intent is to provide an effective, yet relatively simple tool that will help educational leaders (a) examine the effectiveness of ICT for Education projects; (b) better assess the costs and benefits associated with ICT for Education initiatives; and (c) consider strategies for maximizing project impact. If conducted on an annual basis, the instrument also provides an effective means for collecting and reporting comparable information across the projects; as well as invaluable information on trends within the sector, thereby becoming a useful tool for strategic planning at the national or local levels. |
